The Because I Matter Project aimed to empower women in the rural community of the Karpaz region. The project was implemented in partnership with the Tatlısu Municipality with funding received from the European Commission.
The project maintained that hundreds of women were empowered with training and education. Hundreds of women were provided with essential life skills such as literacy.
The project also maintained that Women’s Rights Advocates were identified and trained in all municipalities across the Karpaz region.
